[ Yoshi is still... so dumb. So dumb, Kohaku can almost not stand it. But also it's nice, talking to him now, after spending the whole day arguing about his death and being pessimistic about his mindset. ]
At least we won't be lynching anyone innocent this week, so some protection progress was made, I guess.
Now cross your fingers for us actually hitting the execution jackpot to get rid of that dog beast for real.
You did say you were training for this, yeah... My memories were more like... arguing with people, but 'missions' were a thing I was oddly aware of in them.
[ He snorts in dry amusement. ]
Wouldn't be my first time being a hostage sent to defeat monsters. When it rains it really pours.
[ He leans against the wall and thinks of the quickest way to explain this. ]
I did some shit that the government really didn't like, so they took me prisoner and offered to either execute me or to use my music to fight zombies along with their inofficial orchestra royal. Not a hard choice to make. So I'm touring with our slavedriver orchestra leader and the other criminal folks to get rid of as many zombies as we can.
If fulfilling the mission is the way to survive, I'm all for it. Can't say I trust everyone in this group or care if most of them die, but the sooner we get rid of the monsters the sooner we can get the fuck out.
[ ... oh wait. ]
Can ghosts leave the area or are we gonna need to figure something out here?
[ Normally, Kohaku would write off anyone who can be qualified as living dead, but this ghost situation is looking pretty different.... and really, he's just happy Yoshi is finally acting like a normal boy and not some freakish servant doll.
Sucks if they have to leave him at the resort in the end, but that's a bridge to cross when they come to it. ]
You can drop by here whenever you want, I don't mind. I'm used to living with people, privacy is weird more than anything.

argh
just be careful

[ Kohaku's going to try looking at where he suspects Yoshi's eyes are?? ]
Dying aside, you did a damn good job.
no subject
i did?

You found a way better way to live for others than to simply have yourself sacrificed. Might've needed some backup to make it work, to be fair.
[ One small bunny can not defeat the big bad wolf, that's for sure. ]

that's because people told me i should live! and i wanted to protect everyone i could

i don't know what we'll do if they keep possessing more people
maybe catching them is the reason we were sent here

but i guess that means you're kind of used to situations like this?

This might not be so different. We're canon fodder as much as I was back home.
no subject
but it's true a lot of people will die like this
no subject
If we fail entirely, they'll just see what they learned from that and send others. Not that I plan to let that happen.

And you, it seems like you did decide to keep hanging out with people?
[ He sounds almost teasing. ]
no subject
it would've been okay if no one acknowledged me
i still would've helped as much as i could!!
people always leave me so i'm used to it
but people here still want me around
[A pause.]
i still want to be around
